A wonderful new find for me, thanks to the user-friendly options of Bandcamp. Enjoyed the narrative too - helps set the visual imagery as I daydream through the experience and plough through menial chores. I picked my 14 year old son up from his friend's house earlier, he said "not MORE depressing music, mum?" Hopefully his mind is expanding little by little as I expose him to my narrow tastes!

Being a child in the 70s and early 80s had a certain spookiness to it. Spirits seemed more readily available. I recall a homesickness which would haunt me even then, as if I were from another place entirely. Life's a mystery which childhood makes even worse, so let us revisit it in all its haunting creepiness. Who are the "pocket pavilions"? I can find nothing more other than this one song, and it's a very good tune I really enjoy.

Great record. wears it's influences proudly ..but retains a sliver of identity that is uniquely British and has a northern feel to it..I think that these geographic musical vignettes are realy evocotive of northern Newtown Uber estates and satellite communities..I hope this translates to a wider audience for him...he deserves the attention. give him his due .NOW .
